Sorbead AF125
Water-resistant, aluminum-free silica gel adsorbent, also known as KC-Trockenperlen AF125
BASF Sorbead AF125 is a water-resistant, aluminum-free silica gel adsorbent. Its primary uses are for acetylene drying and as protective layer for other adsorbents and catalysts.
The patented BASF Sorbead line of highly efficient adsorbents are alumino-silicate gels in the form of hard, spherical beads, with a very high resistance to crushing and a low attrition rate. Sorbead adsorbents have a longer life than most other adsorbents and can reduce operating costs in most applications.
Sorbead AF125 is a 100% water-resistant, aluminum-free, large-porous silica gel. These properties qualify Sorbead AF125 as an excellent carrier material for catalysts of all nature.
Sorbead AF125¡¯s reduced catalytic activity reduces polymerization effects and should be used to protect adsorbents as well as catalysts of all nature from liquid carryover in order to increase the reliability of the system.
